Heidi Butler
I’m Heidi Butler, Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritional Counselor. My fitness journey began, and my passion for movement developed in my early youth and throughout high school. I wanted to try everything and was involved in many sports and athletic activities, from gymnastics, swimming, skiing, basketball, diving, cheerleading, and running.
In college, I loved reading and learning about the human body, nutrition, and how to best care for my own body and improve my health. This passion and the influence of my all-natural, holistic upbringing led me to understand the body as a whole. This connection between the mind and body and its ability to heal from within through nutrition, movement, and mindset continues to drive me.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Nutrition. I became certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Health and Fitness Specialist. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified AAFA Group Fitness Instructor, and a Certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss Coach.
I have continued my education in the most cutting-edge exercise and nutritional strategies to optimize fat-burning results and enhance overall health and well-being.
I now have three children and enjoy strength and flexibility training and outdoor activities with my family, like mountain biking and hiking. I live my personal life every day to teach and set an excellent example to my children of how to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
I began my training career in San Diego, CA, and then established my Training business at the Sports Mall in 2003. The Sports Mall has been a wonderful place to allow me to work with clients of all ages, ranging from elementary school age to seniors. I have clients of all fitness levels, from the novice to the athlete, and clients with various physical capabilities and limitations.
I develop and modify individualized fitness programs for clients of all skill levels and interests. I honor and help my clients acknowledge the beginning of their wellness journey. I guide them to take self-empowerment over their goals, help them to discover and resolve their own internal and external conflicts and barriers, and facilitate practical goal-setting and solutions.
I understand the process of change. I help my clients develop a plan with specific strategies they can implement to truly make the changes in their lives they desire so they can reach their health, wellness, and fitness goals for a lifetime.
I am there for my clients to provide encouragement, support, feedback, and accountability throughout their journey. I use a holistic mind/body approach to educate, motivate, and inspire my clients to achieve long-term success in reaching their goals and engage in a healthy lifestyle.
I have so much passion and love for what I do every day. I have enjoyed and have been blessed by the many remarkable connections I have made throughout my career so far, and I look forward to many more in the future!
